AP supports academic planning and programme development initiatives of the university, which includes providing advice to academic departments and faculties to ensure that the relevant curriculum credibility considerations are observed in recognition of the Higher Education Qualifications Sub-Framework (HEQSF) and other relevant academic standards. AP evaluates proposals for introducing new and modifying existing academic programmes in support of the university’s strategic intent of continual expansion and review of the Programme Qualification Mix (PQM) for production of knowledge and graduates that appropriately meet the needs of the society. In facilitating the advancement of the PQM, AP offers consultation and document processing support on academic programmes and modules to faculties/academics in relation to planning, introduction, approval by internal institutional structures, and external accreditation application.
